If you enrolled with a STRIVE Prep school, you are in the right place — all STRIVE Prep schools are becoming RMP schools beginning July 1, 2023. Family Onboarding information is available at the link below.

Please use this checklist to guide you through the onboarding process.

Here, you will find the 4 steps needed to prepare for next school year. It is important that these actions are completed by the first day of school to ensure a successful start, as STRIVE Prep becomes Rocky Mountain Prep this summer.

Speech and debate is a highly competitive, technical, and creative activity that requires students to show confidence in their voice, resilience and originality in their character, and dedication to their passions in order to succeed. These are qualities the STRIVE Prep – RISE and STRIVE Prep – SMART Speech and Debate team members possess. Being nationally ranked and recognized as two of the top 10 teams in the state of Colorado, these teams and students have countless trophies, ribbons, and plaques under their belts which are sure to be motivation boosters. Yet, These students got more than just the national recognition and awards they bargained for when they joined the activity. It has given them the necessary life skills and tools to be successful academically and socially. From confidence building to interview prepping, this program has been a game-changer for these STRIVE Prep students.

Here their full stories and all of the amazing things they had to say about their Speech and Debate programs here!

We are so proud of Bresean Chambers, Denisse Gonzalez, Alexander Hernandez-Gonzalez, Ariana Nungaray, and Nevaeh Reyes for qualifying for NSDA Nationals, and Ms. Steed for making it all possible. Read their story from CO Public Radio about our incredible team's ability to go up against some older speech & debate powerhouses in the country. Congratulations, RISE Speech and Debate!

We are excited to announce Tricia Noyola as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 2, 2022!

Originally, as part of the merger with Rocky Mountain Prep announced in August, Tricia was going to take the lead as CEO beginning July 2023. But as we started working through the integration process this year, we realized that having her lead as CEO sooner rather than later would allow for better integration of our two networks.

Our students, staff, and community will be best served this year by having a clear vision and consistent leadership from Tricia. Families can expect things to remain the same for the remainder of the school year; teachers, schools, sports, and other programs and services are not impacted as a result of the CEO change for the current school year.

We are excited that Tricia is willing to take on this role earlier. Tricia knows from her own lived experience the transformative power of education for all students. Growing up in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, she was mentored by family, friends, and educators to reach her full potential. Thanks to her strong leadership, Rocky Mountain Prep is a great place for teachers to work and for students to learn. RMP schools have all been given a Green rating by the Colorado Department of Education and, due to its high performance, RMP recently received a $4.5 million grant from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott

As we announced in August, by uniting with Rocky Mountain Prep, STRIVE Prep will gain four high-performing ECE to 5th-grade elementary schools, currently operated by Rocky Mountain Prep. This will be a great addition to STRIVE Prep schools which next year will include: five elementary schools, six middle schools, and two high schools in the Denver metro area.

Benefits of uniting into one school system:

Having Tricia lead both organizations going forward will allow us to realize the benefits of the merger more quickly.

Tricia is eager to better get to know you and our entire STRIVE Prep community. In the coming weeks, Tricia and the team will be scheduling school meetings for families. That information will be communicated to you once we have it so stay tuned.

We are confident you will soon see the benefits of a unified network. By bringing our two organizations together sooner, we will be able to more effectively deliver a high-performing early childhood to 12th-grade educational pathway for families.

Thank you,

Transportation In 2022-23 School Year

We are excited to announce that next year, our Far Northeast and Northwest schools will have a new transportation system and provider in DS Bus Lines, and provide better transportation systems than ever for our families and students. The details are below

What This Means

We have new buses for the 22-23 school year! Denver Public Schools will no longer be providing transportation to and from school for your student. This means that your child will no longer ride Success Express / a DPS yellow bus when traveling to and from school.

What You’ll Get with the new DS Bus Lines:

The new service does not include transportation students who are in MI, MI-S, and AN Center programs which will remain with DPS

What We Need

We need you to sign up for bus transportation next year. Follow this link and complete the enrollment process to ensure your spot on the bus. If you do not complete this process, your child may not have bus transportation next year.

If you have any questions about transportation next year, please contact the front office at <NUMBER> or STRIVE Prep’s Central Office team at
