Upcoming town halls to discuss the future of education funding

September 24, 2020
By admin

Please join us for a town hall with Denver Public School Board Members to discuss the future of education and school funding on the ballot this November. Voters will decide whether to approve additional funding through a mill and bond levy which will be for all public schools including STRIVE Prep. As part of the STRIVE Prep community, it is important that you are aware of this proposal, how it will impact your children, and be given an opportunity to ask questions and provide your input.

Bond and mill levy funds are used to support our teachers, building improvements, and remote learning resources. This is an important and distinct opportunity to talk directly with your school board members on how this will impact your school and why this matters. These sessions will be held through Zoom, please register in advance using the links below.

  • Southwest Families: Join DPS Board Members Dr. Carrie Olson and Angela Cobian on Wednesday, September 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. You must pre-register for this meeting: RSVP HERE.
  • Far Northeast Families:  Join DPS Board members Jennifer Bacon and Tay Anderson on Monday, October 5 from 6-7:30 p.m. You must pre-register for this meeting: RSVP HERE.

Please don’t miss this important opportunity; we are looking forward to your participation in these town halls!
