How the graduation parades will work:

  • Each graduate and their guests will drive through the graduation parade!
  • Each graduate can have up to 3 cars of guests.
  • When a graduate’s car approaches the stage, they will exit the car and walk across the stage.
  • A professional photographer will be there to take photos and live stream to Facebook
  • They will then get back into their car and exit the parade flow.
  • Graduates should wear their cap and gown!
  • Suggestions:
    • Decorate your car with posters, balloons, car paint, etc. (so long as you’re safe on the road!)
    • Honk your horn! Make noise for your graduate! This is a celebration!
    • Connect with family and friends prior to coming to the graduation parade; you must arrive with your guests

Safety precautions

  1. All family and guests must remain in their vehicles at all times
  2. Only graduates will be allowed to exit their vehicles
  3. Graduates are not required to wear a face mask to walk across the stage; all other staff and guests must have on face coverings
  4. Graduates will receive a plastic bag that will contain:
    • Instructions for graduation
    • A sheet of paper with their name on it, which they will place on stage for the emcee
    • Any special recognition cords and medals with instructions for how to wear these recognitions
  5. Graduates will receive their own Sharpie pen to sign their Class of 2020 banner
