Dear STRIVE Prep Families,
With the Governor’s order to suspend in-person learning through April 17, and with our expectation that school closures will last longer than that date, STRIVE Prep will begin required remote learning beginning Tuesday, April 7.
We are excited and eager for this next adventure in learning with your child. We also understand this is going to be challenging and requires additional responsibilities from parents/guardians and students. Our goal is to support you and your child as much as possible so their learning experience continues to be engaging and positive. STRIVE Prep teachers are still working out some of the details, but here’s what we know now.
What you need to know:
- Beginning April 7, students will be online completing required learning activities for at least 4 hours of the day, every day, at times that work best for them.
- Most of the learning will happen on Google Classroom, except for 1st graders and kindergarteners whose parents will receive emails daily with learning activities for that day.
- Teacher instruction and activities will mostly be pre-recorded videos for students to watch on their own when convenient for them.
- Teachers will be available online or by phone for additional support at specific times throughout each day.
- If a student receives specialized services, mental health services, or needs a little bit more support, teachers will schedule virtual live sessions on a video conferencing platform called Zoom.
- If your student has a 504 or IEP, the student's case manager or 504 Coordinator will contact you before the end of this week to discuss how services will be provided beginning April 7.
What you need to do:

- On Tuesday, April 7, students should log into their STRIVE Prep email address for directions and video tutorials from their teachers.
- If you do not have internet access at home, please contact this phone number, 720-772-4301, so we can support you with access immediately.
- Reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns.

Please note, STRIVE Prep teachers and principals will be on spring break from March 30 - April 3, returning April 6.

Con la orden del gobernador de suspender el aprendizaje en persona hasta el 17 de abril, además de nuestra expectativa de que los cierres de escuelas se prolongarán más allá de esa fecha, STRIVE Prep comenzará con aprendizaje remoto obligatorio a partir del martes 7 de abril.
Estamos emocionados por esta nueva aventura en el aprendizaje de sus hijos. También entendemos que esto no va a ser fácil y que requiere responsabilidades adicionales de padres/tutores y estudiantes. Nuestra meta es apoyarlos a ustedes y a sus hijos lo más posible para que su experiencia educativa siga siendo interesante y positiva. Los maestros de STRIVE Prep siguen trabajando en algunos de los detalles, pero esto es lo que sabemos en este momento:
Lo que ustedes necesitan saber:
- A partir del 7 de abril, los estudiantes completarán actividades obligatorias en Internet al menos 4 horas al día, todos los días, en el momento en el que más les convenga.
- La mayor parte del aprendizaje se hará en Google Classroom, a excepción de los estudiantes de primer grado y kinder, porque sus padres recibirán correos electrónicos todos los días con actividades de aprendizaje para ese día.
- Las clases y actividades con los maestros serán principalmente con videos grabados para que los estudiantes los vean cuando les sea más conveniente.
- Los maestros estarán disponibles en internet o por teléfono para darles ayuda adicional en momentos específicos durante cada día.
- Si un estudiante recibe servicios especializados, servicios de salud mental o si necesita un poco más de apoyo, los maestros programarán sesiones virtuales en vivo en una plataforma de conferencias en video que se llama Zoom.
- Si su hijo(a) tiene un 504 o IEP, el asesor de su caso o su coordinador de 504 se pondrá en contacto con ustedes antes de que termine esta semana para hablar sobre los servicios que recibirán a partir del 7 de abril.
