STRIVE Prep - Kepner will be moving to a primarily remote learning model for four weeks of school beginning November 29 and continuing through January 7, 2022. As you may know, our school has been struggling with teacher and staffing shortages. As a result, we believe the best way we can provide a safe and productive learning environment is through a hybrid model where some students are in-person and our primary instruction for most students is online.
Schools across the country, including many Colorado schools, are facing staff shortages and having to cancel class or move to remote learning. During this period, STRIVE Prep will focus on providing high quality virtual instruction, hiring and training new teachers and staff, and working with current staff so students have a safe and productive learning environment when they return to a fully in-person setting on January 10.
It is important to us that families have a clear understanding of a predictable schedule, with enough time as possible to adapt to the changing circumstances. That’s why we’re making this decision today and planning for four weeks, rather than shifting decisions every few days.
We understand having your child at home during this remote learning period may create challenges in a number of ways. There will be an in person Learning Center available, which can support up to 75 students, on campus during the remote learning period. Your child’s advisor will be reaching out today to learn more about your interest in having your child on campus in these learning centers.
What you need to do:
- Pick up your child’s laptop and other materials on November 29, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM at the STRIVE Prep - Kepner campus (911 S Hazel Ct.)
- Spend time with your child reviewing their remote learning schedule. You will receive this schedule on Monday when you pick up your materials.
- Create a dedicated learning space at home for your child.

Qué necesitan hacer:
- Recoger la computadora portátil de su hijo, y otros materiales, el 29 de noviembre, de 8:00 a. m. A 5:00 p. m. en el campus de STRIVE Prep - Kepner (911 S Hazel Ct.)
- Pasar tiempo con su hijo revisando su programa de aprendizaje virtual. Recibirá este horario el lunes cuando recoja sus materiales.
- Crear un espacio de aprendizaje en casa para su hijo.
