Remote learning in place through end of school year, school buildings remain closed (Español)

April 03, 2020
By admin

Dear STRIVE Prep Families,

We hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. Denver Public Schools announced today that the in-person school closure will extend through the end of the school year; this includes all STRIVE Prep schools.

Based on the trends we’ve seen in other areas impacted by COVID-19, we’ve been anticipating this decision to close schools through the end of the year and planning for it. Required remote learning kicks off Tuesday, April 7, and will be in place through the end of the school year so your child is able to successfully complete their grade on track.

We understand many of the changes around COVID-19 affect you and your family in a number of ways. STRIVE Prep is committed to the education and well-being of your child and we are looking forward to supporting them during this time and partnering with you on their future.  This is why we have created the STRIVE Prep Crisis Relief Fund. If you or your student are in need of assistance at this time due to the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, please fill out this short grant application. If there is ever anything you and your student may need during this time, please reach out to us by calling your school or teacher.

For graduating seniors, we are so proud of all of your hard work, please know we are working on plans for a virtual senior signing day and graduation ceremonies, and we’ll continue celebrating seniors in a number of ways in the months to come.

Thank you for your partnership and flexibility during this time. More information about STRIVE Prep’s remote learning and COVID-19 resources can be found on our website. For specific school support, please reach out to your child’s advisor or school leader.

Join us this Monday, April 6 on Facebook for a live conversation with STRIVE Prep CEO & Founder Chris Gibbons. He will provide an update and also answer any questions you have. Spanish will be at 2 p.m. and English at 3 p.m.
