STRIVE Prep - Lake will be moving to a fully remote learning model for the remainder of this week of school beginning Wednesday, January 5 and continuing through Friday, January 7, 2022 with our plan to have regular in-person classes to resume Monday, January 10.
The Omicron variant of COVID-19 has had a significant impact across the country and has hit our school community especially hard. As a result, there are staffing shortages and we believe the best way we can provide a safe and productive learning environment is through primary instruction for students online. During this period, STRIVE Prep will focus on providing high quality virtual instruction to all students.
We know this last-minute decision has impacts on your schedule and we appreciate all you do to support your child in their education. By taking the remaining week off, instead of making decisions day-to-day, we are hoping this helps you plan for your entire week.
What you need to do:
- If your child was in school today, they will be sent home with their computer and charger, but if your child was absent today you may pick up your child’s laptop on Wednesday, January 5, from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM at the STRIVE Prep - Lake campus (1820 Lowell).
- If you are unable to pick up your child’s computer during that time, staff will be at STRIVE Prep - Lake from 7:30 am -4:30 pm on Thursday, January 6. If you are unable to come to the school either of those times, please contact the front office at 303-551-7200 to make other arrangements.
- Spend time with your child reviewing their individual remote learning schedule on their google calendar.
- Create a dedicated learning space at home for your child and ensure that students use their headphones to reduce distractions.
- We are working on securing hotspots for internet access and will share an update tomorrow, January 5.
- If your child needs technical assistance they should refer to our troubleshoot guide linked here.

STRIVE Prep - Lake tendrá clases completamente a distancia (en línea) durante el resto de la semana comenzando el miércoles 5 de enero hasta el viernes 7 de enero de 2022. Las clases normales en persona volverán a iniciar el lunes 10 de enero.
La variante Omicron de COVID-19 ha tenido un impacto importante en el país y ha afectado a nuestra comunidad escolar de una manera muy fuerte. Como resultado, creemos que la mejor manera de proporcionar un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro y productivo es con un modelo donde nuestras clases principales para los estudiantes sean en línea. Durante este periodo, STRIVE Prep se esforzará en proporcionar educación virtual de alta calidad a todos los estudiantes.

Esto es lo que necesitan hacer:
- Si sus hijos estaban presentes hoy, llevarán a casa con su computadora y cargador. Si fueron ausentes y requieren una computadora se puede recoger el miércoles 5 de enero de 9:00 am a 4:30 pm a STRIVE Prep - Lake (1820 Lowell Blvd).
- Si no pueden recoger la computadora de sus hijos en ese horario, habrá personal de STRIVE Prep Lake de 7:30 am a 4:30 pm el jueves 6 de enero. Si no pueden ir a la escuela en ninguno de esos horarios, por favor, pónganse en contacto con la oficina al (303)551-7200 para que les ayuden.
- Pasen tiempo con sus hijos revisando su horario individual que se encuentra en el calendario google de cada estudiante.
- Busquen un espacio especial en casa para que sus hijos puedan estudiar y asegurar se de que usen audífonos para reducir distracciones.
- Estamos consiguiendo aparatos de internet portátil y habrá más información sobre eso mañana, enero 5.
- Si su niño/a requiere ayuda técnica se puede referir a esta guía de resoluciones.
