Snow day policy update

March 11, 2021
By admin

We are writing to inform you of changes Denver Public Schools has made in its snow day policy; going forward, in the event that inclement weather closes the district, the first snow day will be a traditional snow day, with all schools and offices closed and no remote learning. In the event a severe storm closes the district for more than one day, each day after the first would be a remote learning day.

In the interest of maximum clarity and alignment for families, STRIVE Prep will continue to follow DPS policy on snow days.

As you likely know, a severe winter storm is forecasted for this weekend.  If DPS closes Monday, STRIVE Prep schools will as well, with a traditional snow day and no remote learning.  If the storm is so severe as to remain closed Tuesday, Tuesday would be a remote learning day for all schools.  Your school will work to make sure your child takes home any technology or other materials on Friday as needed to support this plan.

Please watch local media for updates on the DPS decision, and we will communicate any additional information as soon as we know it.

We are grateful for your patience with these changing policies during this unusual year.

Stay safe; stay connected.

Sigan seguros y conectados
