Flyer Friday 2/25

February 25, 2022
By admin
Principal NoteLobos Family,

There are only 3 weeks left in Quarter 3! We are focused on finishing the quarter strong by setting goals and identifying actions to achieve them. Ask your students about their goals today and after they reflect on their grades in advisory on Tuesdays until conferences. We are looking forward to seeing you all during conferences on March 17 and 18.

Somos Lobos,
Ilana Bye
Family-Teacher Conferences Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18

Our spring family-teacher conferences are approaching quickly. Your student’s advisor will be reaching out soon to schedule your meeting. Remember the best time slots go quickly. We will also have Carnitas El Amarillo on campus Thursday if you want to buy snacks/dinner.

Families who complete a conference will receive a Family Scholarship in the form of a $25 King Soopers gift card (1 per Strive Prep - Federal student).
Rental AssistanceTenants who have been unable to pay rent due to financial hardship caused by COVID-19 may be eligible for rental assistance from their county or the State. The Colorado Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) can help cover rent as far back as April 2020. Help can include past due, current, and two additional months of rent up to a maximum of 18 months of total ERA assistance. The landlord or the tenant can start the application process, but receiving assistance requires documentation from both the tenant and the landlord.

Please click here to apply for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP).
Note from the CEO on MasksDear STRIVE Prep - Families,

Denver Public Schools recently announced that mask mandates will no longer be required at schools starting Monday, February 28.

At STRIVE Prep, we wanted to hear from our community of staff and families to understand their needs and comfort moving forward before making a decision. After surveying our community, almost 80% of families that filled out the survey, and 71% of staff would like us to continue requiring masks. This sends a clear message that our community would like us to continue maintaining mask wearing as a health precaution.

Therefore, STRIVE Prep schools will continue to require that all staff, students, and visitors wear masks in our buildings at all times, except when actively eating or drinking, through March 25, the last school day before Spring Break. At that time, we will reassess the mask requirement based on local health data and your feedback.  Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school communities safe during this time.

Sincerely,

Chris Gibbons
Founder, CEO
