RMP Community,

I’m pleased to inform you that we have selected Tricia Noyola to become RMP’s new CEO.

As you may remember, the RMP Board of Directors began searching for a new CEO to lead RMP in July 2020. We engaged Promise54, a search firm with deep expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and held multiple listening tours with families, staff, and the broader education community throughout the fall to inform the profile for a new leader. Since that time, a search committee appointed by RMP’s Board of Directors recruited a pool of 20 qualified applicants and conducted numerous interviews three semi-finalists in partnership.

Earlier this month, RMP leadership, principals, parent leaders, board members, and a small number of teachers and staff engaged in interviews and a school tour with Tricia Noyola, the finalist candidate. Taking all of this into consideration, our board met last week and voted unanimously to extend an offer to Tricia given her extensive qualifications. I’m delighted to share that Tricia has accepted the offer and she will become RMP’s new CEO this summer.

I am so proud of the work that has been done to select this incredible leader. More than 500 RMP community members gave invaluable input into our process and what we most need in our next CEO. Thank you.

From the total candidate pool, where 50 percent of candidates identified as people of color, Tricia emerged as the strongest candidate with an inspiring vision for RMP’s future. Tricia grew up in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas. She has been a teacher, a principal, and a leader of a network of 16 IDEA Public Schools for the past 15 years, and since 2017, Tricia has served as the Executive Director of IDEA Austin. She brings a wealth of experience and has a track record of expanding opportunities for all families to experience schools with high academic expectations and a deep, affirming culture of joy.

I am sure many in our community will be eager to meet and learn more from her. Our team will be working closely with Tricia over the coming weeks to map out how she will engage with our broader community as she prepares to step into the CEO role in June. I encourage you to join those forums so you can get to know Tricia better and she can learn from you as she steps into this role.

Thank you for being a part of the Rocky Mountain Prep community. I look forward to continuing to work alongside each of you in this new chapter for our organization.

In partnership,

Charlotte M. Brantley

Chair, RMP Board of Directors
