Finding the Right Middle School for Your Family

November 16, 2022   |   By Alicia Lorio, Director of Family Engagement and Advocacy

At Rocky Mountain Prep, we are committed to ensuring that all our 5th-grade scholars continue to receive an excellent education in middle school and beyond.

There are many options when it comes to selecting the right school for your scholar, and we know this process can be overwhelming. This year, our dedicated team of 5th-grade teachers and front office staff will partner closely with your family so that you have the information necessary to find a school that is the best fit for your scholar’s academic needs and family preferences!

At each of our RMP campuses, we will host a Middle School Fair, Application Support Sessions, and a 5th-Grade Family Night. We will also have additional opportunities for scholars to visit middle schools on field trips, participate in mentor buddy programs, and listen to a 6th-grade panel.

Our goal is for 100% of our 5th-grade families to apply to a middle school during Round 1 (January 13 – February 14, 2023). Applying during this critical window increases your scholar’s chance of being accepted into your school of choice! Be on the lookout for upcoming events and information sessions to learn more.

We look forward to partnering with your family in this exciting transition!
