RMP Southwest Registration

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Prep Southwest Family! We are so excited you chose us to be part of your child’s education.  

Click the tabs/dropdown above to view your registration checklist items by month. Complete the steps in the checklist, and show us at an upcoming welcome event to earn an insulated lunch thermos for your family! This offer is for new RMP scholars only.

  • Call or text Southwest at 720.440.2277 to confirm that your student will be attending RMP for the 21-22 school year.
  • Watch the welcome video below.
  • Mark the welcome events you want to attend on your calendar. A list of upcoming events is below!
  • Mark the first day of School: Tuesday, August 10, 2021 for Kinder-5th and Thursday, August 12, 2021 for ECE.
  • Watch the Kinder welcome video below (even if you’re not a kinder student) to get a sense of the culture of the school

  • Complete online registration by Friday, May 21. Online registration is where you will let us know whether your child will be in-person or virtual next year. Go to myportal.dpsk12.org and click here for interactive step-by-step directions in English to complete registration.  Click here for interactive step-by-step directions in Spanish to complete registration.  The language can be changed at the upper right hand of the screen.
    • Online registration is required for every child, every year. It is helpful to complete the process with both a phone and a computer. If you need access to a computer to complete your registration, please call us to schedule an in-person, outdoor registration appointment. Text 720.440.2277 to request an appointment.
    • If you would like virtual registration support, join us via Zoom on Mondays from 12:00 - 1:00pm or Tuesdays from 10:30 - 11:30am.
  • Text or e-mail pictures of the following documents to 720.440.2277 or southwestops@rockymountainprep.org.
    • Child’s birth certificate. Make sure your child’s name is visible and easy to read.
    • Child’s vaccination record. Make sure your child’s name is visible and easy to read.
    • Proof of address. Electricity, water, gas, lease agreement. The thing being billed must be attached to your property. Bank statements, cell phone bills, or credit card bills do not count.
    • ECE families must provide proof of income. If you are not currently employed, you can come to the school during Monday 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. or Tuesday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. to fill out an affidavit.
  • (New - Posted May 11) Virtual Academy (Online School) Selection -  If you are interested in completing virtual school next year for kinder through fifth grades, please complete this survey.  You have until June 4th to let RMP know you want online school.  Otherwise, your scholar will have an in-person seat.

  • Review school supply information and make plans to purchase uniforms.
    • At RMP, the only piece of uniform required from the RMP uniform store is the RMP polo. ECE students wear gray polos. K-5 students wear light blue polos. The rest of the uniform is navy bottoms, mostly black shoes, and navy outerwear (if the outerwear is meant to be worn in school). You may buy these items at an RMP store or elsewhere.
    • You can buy the polos and other optional uniform items here. The link will always have the most recent pricing for the uniforms. If you would like to request financial support, please reach out to the school for next steps. The uniform process is cashless and online. You cannot buy uniforms by going to the school.
  • Review before and aftercare information. Information coming soon.
  • Complete student physical(s) to update all vaccinations.
    • There are many vaccinations important to a child’s health and well-being. Please ensure they receive their vaccinations to keep the entire school community safe.
  • Attend a welcome event (optional). Scroll down to the "Upcoming Events" section to see a list of upcoming events.

  • [In-Person Families] Buy Uniforms. Uniforms not purchased by Friday, July 23 may not be ready for the first day of school. You can buy the polos and other optional uniform items here. Contact the school if you would like support with uniforms.
  • If you have not yet completed online registration and document submission, it is of the utmost importance you do so. Directions to complete online registration are in the May tab.
  • Watch for Family University actions. This is where you will find information on school systems such as COVID safety and school routines like arrival and dismissal. This event is mandatory.
  • Attend a welcome event (optional). Scroll down to the "Upcoming Events" section to see a list of upcoming events.
