As much as we love discovering new books, sometimes we like to revisit our old favorites! To get some ideas for great summer and back-to-school reads, we asked a few Rocky Mountain Prep educators what childhood books they would like to reread:

Natalie Klem – Director of Academics, Network Support Team

“Roald Dahl is still one of my favorite authors today. I really like his writing, because it allows you to escape reality into a world of fantasy. If I had to choose a favorite of his books, it would definitely be Matilda!”

Alex Perricone – RMP Creekside Prekindergarten Teacher

“I still love Peter’s Chair because I think it shows a lot of self-growth, change in perspective, and love for your family. It’s wonderful book and I love rereading it!”

Megan Downing – Director of Academics, Network Support Team

“My favorite books growing up were the Little House on the Prairie series. My friends and I read all the books and then would pretend that we were the characters. I think it’s so cool that students today still read Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books. They really are timeless.”

Kathy Hayes – RMP Creekside Dance Teacher

“One of my favorites as a little girl was Chicken Little because it was one of the first books I was able to read by myself. I read it several times!”
